I can understand why a lot of Fairlie people drive to Pleasant Point then on to Christchurch instead of taking the Fairlie to Geraldine road. Coming back from Christchurch this afternoon there were a lot of oncoming cars sitting on the middle line and we even followed a crazy overseas driver in a Jucy campervan who was drifting ALL OVER the road. Theres no cellphone coverage so you cant report them till its too late (yes I did make yet another police complaint...), a police car did pass us so maybe they noticed what was going on. Its scary out there, you really feel like youre playing russian roulette. A lot of innocent people have been injured and killed on that road :(
