I cannot remember the last time watched MTV however I just saw a great docu-interview with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis talking about the moments that changed their lives and career. They said: Without Thrift Shop there would be no 12,000 in the crowd in Amsterdam, no awards, no exposure to our music. What was your moment? What has the game changer for you? It could well be that you are still waiting for it to arrive. They also said of their art and their music; I was told to tell the story that was true for me, only tell a story that was mine to tell, so it seems that authenticity and vulnerability were also key to their stratospheric rise to the top. They have put some cool tunes out, and this is one of my favourites. Marilyn Devonish
