I cannot say enough good things about Pacific Rim... It was like revisiting my childhood in a way because on the surface its essentially Gundam vs Godzilla... Beneath that is a universe of people in struggle an uphill war against a virtually unknown enemy politics the underworld. Its a heaven of scifi conglomerate and avoided all the problems i had with the Heisei era of the Godzilla series namely the spectacular ability of the human forces of a single nation to whip up giant robot countermeasures at the drop of a hat. Pacific Rim puts the fastest turnaround for the entirety of global forces was 14 months... The monster action was great intercharacter relationships were present believable and didnt feel forced... The destruction was awesome and Legendary Pictured handled this movie and is handling the new Godzilla so i have pretty high hopes for that. Well played Guillermo del Toro. Also Charlie Day is awesome in this movie
