I cannot stress the importance of AFTERCARE on a tattoo. It is - TopicsExpress

I cannot stress the importance of AFTERCARE on a tattoo. It is imperative that they are washed thoroughly with hot soapy water, and often. I impress upon you, antibacterial soap please! It is an open wound, susceptible to disease and your beautiful tattoo can be ruined in the blink of an eye. There are so many factors in the environment where you live/work that could expose your tattoo to pathogens. Its so sad and terrible to see such hard work, and pain on the clients end, heal up badly. Edit: We have to take so many hours of blood borne pathogens every year, we spend decent money on single use needles, tubes and other disposables to minimize clients exposure to germs. However, we dont work in a sterile room, with sterile air. The procedure is considered a clean procedure. This is why you are washed multiple times, and our gloves are changed multiple times. So wash your damn tattoo. Dammit.
