I cant believe its16 years.i remembered that it was a day after Abiolas death.i had told my friend that my Dad would send the driver to pick me up because of what was happening in school.In the middle of the night I could not sleep, I was just tossing around on d bed.i remembered that a dog was barking continuously I knew something was wrong but I just couldnt explain.As early as 4 am I was all dressed trusting u to send the driver to pick me.Alas, lanre n d driver got to my hostel around 7am a day after your death and they said u instructed them to pick me because of the riot going in Ogbomoso. I was very proud of u because I knew u couldnt stand your children going through any kind of trouble or stress (U were indeed a father ) and that was why I did not have a slightest hint of what had happened. I got the shock of my life when we got home and I saw lots of people on our street and the gate of the house wide opened and to make matters worse your picture on a table outside .I knew you were gone. Dad, my mum,siblings and I miss u dearly.The new additions to d family (Tunde, Zainny, Lebo and ur granddaughter tammy)who points at ur picture in my room and tells me mum look at grandpa also misses u. We take solace in God who has kept us and has also been a loving father to us in all ramifications. Continue to rest in the bossom of the the Lord till we will meet to part no more.
