I cant believe people are insensitively laughing off this issue. I also saw the report about the rise of teenage pregnancy in Eastern Visayas and I found it not surprising at all. If you were reading news about post-Yolanda situations as early as November last year, you should have had heard about the increasing incidence of RAPE, PROSTITUTION, HUMAN TRAFFICKING and VIOLENCE involving women and children. If girls as young as 13 years old are pregnant today, then it is very likely to be associated with the effects of the super typhoon. One year ago, some people lost everything-- houses, parents, source of food, security, protection. Please consider first what they have gone through before judging them. I hope the rest of todays youth would instead utilize their ample time for social media to rally for support and help for these teenage mothers.
