I cant keep up with Xtian in Math. My brain just automatically shuts down whenever we review this subject. He finds it perplexing how I was able to pass this subject when I was still studying. Feeling exasperated, I try to explain to him that in my time, our lessons were not that complicated and it takes a huge, really, really huge amount of energy on my part to concentrate and understand all those mind-baffling equations. So this is our usual set-up during exams: Me: Do you know this lesson? Xtian: Yes Me: This? That? This? This? (Pointing to the exercises in the book) Xtian: Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Give me a sample question thats not in the book and ill try to solve it. Me: No more. Were done. Xtian: Haynaku mama.... I dont like dealing with numbers (but I like counting money, ehehe) and I may never understand why Xtian finds this subject fascinating and exciting, but I am very, very grateful to God for blessing me with a child who loves Math. Thats one less subject for me to teach :)
