I cant put into words how angry this article makes me. A team is more than one player, a sport is more than one player, a UNIVERSITY is more than one player. The fact that Florida State is being define by one players criminal offenses as well as allegations is absolutely disgusting. Our school has so much more to offer and Id be damned if anyones sole reason upon coming to school here was for Jameis Winston. As for Jameis, the stories surrounding him have become more and more a way of the media trying to portray what they want. What happened to innocent until proven guilty, America? Anyone can be tried for something in no way does it make him or her guilty. Jimbo backing up Jameis and believing him is NOT some way our school can continue to win, instead I believe its showing a form of trust and bond that exists between a coach and his player. He is not manipulating evidence, he is not threatening those with allegations against Winston, he is instead voicing his opinion on his trust in his player, someone who has practiced under him for the past 3 years. If a player cant trust his or her coach and vice versa, what is there? But then again, another story about a coach trusting his player wouldnt exactly make headlines would it. You can say whatever you want about my school, you can bash us to your hearts content, but it will never change my opinion on what I have found here. I am STILL proud to be a Florida State Seminole no matter if we lose every game from now until I graduate and no matter how many times USA Today or the NY Times tells me to be ashamed. Go Noles.
