I cant quite remember when I found out that my dad was sick but the scene of me accompanying him to the oncologist still plays clearly in my head. The words incurable rare form of cancer palliative care stuck to my head till this very day. I consider my family and I really fortunate that the financial burden was not felt too much since he had some medical insurance to help out. It was the emotional struggle that took the toil, seeing a perfectly healthy man turned to someone frail right before my own eyes. When my mother was diagnosed 3 months after my dads passing, I felt my world crumbling. No words can ever describe how it felt. There are many out there, who needs our support, financially and emotionally. I hope those who can give out, do give to the needed ones because you will never know whose life you will touch. It doesnt have to be a lot. Its really the thought of a helping hand with a sincere heart that matters.
