I cant understand why there is such a fuss about costing up closing the airport sat-sun. Surely if there is a long period where there are NO flights, how on earth is this stopping people getting off the island? I read some ridiculous comments on Energy FMs Facebook page earlier. All the silly comments about how terrible it is. So we have an airport fully staffed with no flights...lets keep it open? What planet are these people on? If for example the first flight isnt till late morning, then does it need to open at the crack of dawn? They are doing right by investigating the costs.
