I coincidentally read an old proverb today. "A farmer once went to a wise man with his fear of the future. The wise man then added water to 3 different pots and placed them over the fire. He then added carrots to one pot, an egg to another and tea leaves to the final pol. After an hour he asked the farmer to drain the water and remove each item from the 3 pots. He asked the farmer what he noticed. "The carrots are soft, the egg has become hard and the tea has added a rich taste to the water, but what does any of that mean?". The wise man then explained that each of the items had faced an adversity, boiling water. Each reacted differently. The carrots went in strong but became soft and weak. The egg went in fragile, its thin outer shell protected it, but upon meeting adversity hardened its inside. The tea leaves were unique. They changed the adversity it faced." So now you need to ask yourself, how will you adapt to adversity, will you let it change you or will you change it?" Stay strong Stoughton, our thoughts and prayers are with you! And RIP to the lives that have been lost in the past couple days.
