I confess that I am reluctant to ask for prayers or to seek help for myself. For about two weeks now my digestive system has been slowly shutting down due to an intestinal infection. In my pride, I tried to quietly handle the situation all on my own. On Wednesday I reached a point where I found I could longer take food or drink. The pain in my abdomen increased sharply. Only then did I admit my need for help. And oh how the help, concern, and prayers came flooding in! I received the medical intervention I needed through a miraculous network of care that spanned the globe. I am overwhelmed by this outpouring of love for me!!! I am on the road to recovery and am feeling better. Hopefully in the process I have learned some valuable life lessons about the foolishness of trying to be self sufficient. The truth is I need you all very much. Thank you for loving me, foolish pride and all.
