I constantly have people reaching out on FB and asking how the kids and I are doing. It means so much to me. I hardly have time as a single mom to respond to you all, so heres an update for the many friends who have checked in. I really try to keep things positive on here and trust me, there are still many hard days where I just want to post for the world to hear me cry, hear our sadness, anger and disbelief. So many times I want to shout out about how unjust this situation feels some days, but my story although very public, especially in our community...is still a very private healing time for us. So for the countless friends who have asked, we are good!!! We are moving forward, the five of us as a family, getting stronger, supporting one another, learning every single day and keeping things happy and positive in our home. We have two more firsts to experience over the next month. The first 9/16 not celebrating my wedding anniversary and of course the dreaded first anniversary of the day that our world very unexpectedly fell apart on October 17th. But through this experience my kids and I have been embraced by our family, friends, community and teachers. We have met new people along the way and even reconnected with some very special friends from the past. As for the very few people that chose to walk away, thank you for showing me the kind of friends we dont need, you made room for more love and light to come into our lives. I pray for you and hope that you and your children never have to walk in these shoes. I am a firm believer in following the path that was laid in front of me and trusting in the process. I see a bright future on the horizon for me and my children! Thank you all for caring and for all of your love and support, especially my mom. I could not have come this far without her. She is an amazing woman who taught me about love, loyalty, strength and faith. Happy Friday my friends, I love you all very much! I feel very loved and empowered because of you! xo
