I continue to stand on the side of an us against them mentality. - TopicsExpress

I continue to stand on the side of an us against them mentality. I stay away from the obvious which is to blame these encounters on race because in some cases race has nothing to do with it. We as a people must recognize that the police have a job to do yet the police must understand the correct way to do their job. Once we weigh the evidenve in these cases, regardless of what led up to these events happening, you have to see that homicide is not justifiable in these cases. People are scared to admit there is a problem within our community itself. The community must assume responsibility on how we send our men out into this world unprepared to represent us in a manner in which we will be justified in our own actions to be able to stand on the side of whats right. We are to busy arguing about perception instead of attacking what is actually happening. I see how people are now attacking Micheal Brown and Eric Gardner only because they refuse to admit there is a problem. These cases arent worthy enough of peoples unbiased opinions because of facts that have nothing to do with the case and we condemn these men for it. My grandmother told me never to speak ill of the dead and look what the country is doing...... when people realize this can happen to anyone. But I guess until then things will remain the same until this happens to someones child who is more important than us. P.E.A.C.E #KnowYourRights
