I could not pick one picture from today and I tried to make a collage but it would not do each shot justice so there are 5 here. We started off with seizures early on but gave his 1/4 pill keppra and that stopped them. But it also knocked him for a crazy loop and he was napping by 11am, right through vision therapy. See the picture with the red and yellow. Those colors are supposed to be the ones kids with Cortical vision impairment want to see first. His eyes are healthy, just like his legs and arms. Its his brain that is damaged and wont tell the eyes, and legs and send and etc. how to work. So when you see him looking up, its probably because his brain is just not telling his eyes to see and thats the default position. We know he can see and does sometimes and we just have to work on it, like everything else. He can learn and it can improve. Google if you want more info on CVI. I did a you tube search today and found a great video for him. You can see Gramma holding the iPad in front of him. He really was interested and looking at the video. Even got excited at parts and changed expression and reached out! Awesome. We will be watching this daily :) And there were more than one. Link below: m.youtube/watch?v=aNzpPclGLaQ Then theres a little belly roll picture. And one where he held his arm with an open hand, on his own! And then took a pacifier and held Ray bear to go to sleep. Super sweet and better than gritting his teeth. Nasty habit hes started. He usually will not close around the paci but actually chew/sucked it tonight! Then he woke up before I got him to bed with a seizure :( We gave a 1/4 pill of klonopin this time. Hoping it will hold him all night for some good sleep. Great day over all. Praise God and plead for healing. Katie
