I could not wait to get home and share what happened tonight at Wurstfest. George and I decided to take my nephew, my niece and her three children. George does not like amusement park rides. Clifton and I loved riding them. The only ride we can get George on is the ferris wheel. So, tonight George, my great nephew, EJ and I rode in one cart, while the others went in another. When we got to the top, I told EJ that we were so high, that we were even closer to Heaven and Clifton. Each time we got to the top, we would yell hello to Clifton. Let me add that EJ, age 4, has not been adjusting well. He told his Mom last week that he was ready to leave this world behind because he wanted to be with Clifton because he misses him so much! The ferris wheel went around several times, when I looked out into the sky, I saw two feathers falling down. I started bawling my eyes out. As I told George and EJ, EJ starting crying his eyes out as well. He moved to Georges side of cart for a hug. As he turned around, you wont believe this, but there was a small feather on his eyebrow. OMG, we knew, Clifton was there with us and we rejoiced. Then to top it off, George and I went to rest (those young uns wear us out), and the band in the tent started playing, Whats Up by Four Non-Blondes. That was Clifton and my song. I would carry him in my arms as an infant and we would dance to it. Later, he danced with Mommy to this song over and over through the years. The last time, which was only a few weeks before Cliftons passing, I joked that now he was bigger than Mommy. I know my baby is watching over me. Thank you Clifton for reminding Mommy, Daddy and EJ, that you are always with us. I love you baby boy.
