I could of wrote this letter. Shylo was in the same boat. I saw a lady in the parking lot of the shelter once. She was crying with an old dog. She asked where the intake trailer was. I spoke to her for a while. I talked her into taking her dog home for what was probably her last year or week. I helped her realize her obligation to her family member. She asked a neighbor what she should do and the neighbor told her to bring her to the shelter. I asked her to think about the remorse she would feel leaving her old friend with strangers after all those years. She told me she had been in the car for 45 minutes before she got out and met me. She thanked me for all we do at the shelter. When I told her I was just a construction worker working on the renovation of the shelter(that day I was)she told me that God sent me to her at that moment to keep her from making a huge mistake. I had left and came back because I forgot my new tape measure.
