I couldnt think of a word to describe you as a father and Id like to let it be like that - no words, no descriptions, nothing. If i become one, Id like to be just like you. The father who sings Cat Stevens Father and Son along with me, the father who drinks beer or a bucket of it with my friends, the father who teaches his son how to drive, act and speak like hes not even nervous (though he seems to be obviously nervous) how his son drives the car, the father who scolds his son when he first lied, the father who buys a foot long sandwich after he scolds his son, the father who wakes up so early to drive me to Iloilo and wait until I finish my transactions, the father who asks me eat carrots because they are rich in carotene (this makes me laugh and yes, makes me eat carrots, too), the father who constantly chats with me on facebook just to check if i am doing fine onboard, the father who made me a Mazda 3 owner, the father who sleeps over beside my hospital bed and make sure everthings fine, the father who let me borrow money when Im broke (Hey mom, I know where he hides his money), the father who smiles secretly whenever his wife reprimands his son about some guy thing (reminds him of his good old days, history repeats itself, i must say), the father who invites almost everyone when his son graduated with flying colors and tries to announce he is extremely proud of his son, the father who asks his son to dance the Gangnam Style in front of many strangers (crazy isnt it?), the father who best knows how to father Reubert Thomry Aguilar Dusaran Kleint Aguilar Dusaran and Vince Gerard Aguilar Dusaran. You are my epitome of unwavering strength. You stood firm in the midst of several storms that passed our family life. You are Gods reminder that everything is possible - from being a plumber to being an electrician, you can even be a lawyer or an architect if situations require you to be; an agriculturist, a pharmacist or even an accountant; youre a carpenter, an event manager, a restaurant owner and a banker. You can roast pigs and cook the best Binakol Ive ever tasted and who would forget your Jollibee rice (oh, I suddenly miss it) and yes the most delicious kilawin. Who wouldnt want a father like that? Who wouldnt like to become that kind of a father? I wouldnt think twice to just follow your footsteps when I am on the same shoes one day. Happy Fathers Day Napoleon Dusaran.
