THE EVIL OF SO-CALLED "TALENT HUNT" Jama’at-e-Islami condemns in strongest terms the promotion of un-Islamic practices like immorality, obscenity, vulgarity, and brazenness in the name of so-called “Talent Hunt.” Jama’at denounces the anti-Islamic practice of holding of dance and musical shows in which young boys and girls were made to “perform” before “giar muharams” at SKICC on June 16. Pertinently, some known faces from India’s un-Islamic film industry, Bollywood, were invited to supervise the proceedings of the show and lure Kashmiri Muslim youth towards immoral way of living. Unfortunately, the show was organized by the state establishment with the open support and physical presence of the so-called rulers of Kashmir who deem themselves Muslims and take pride in articulating deviant interpretations of Islam. These are the same people who claim Islam being some “Sufi cult” rather a complete code of life only acceptable before Allah (SWT). This behavior of these rulers- Abdullahs, Muftis, Azads, Sozs- explain it all why they strive to misrepresent Islam. They have surrendered their mental, physical and intellectual faculties to taghoot, be it their Nafs, Satan or powers that be. Jama’at believes that such practices are against the ethos and precepts which people of Kashmir being residents of “Abode of Saints” (Peer-i-Vaer) hold dearer than their lives. These types of programmes, which outrage and trample under feet the teachings of Quran and the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW), are aimed to lead away people of Kashmir from Deen-i-Islam. Jama’at also appeals parents to inculcate moral principles as taught by our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in their children and not to fall in the trap of Satan by allowing their wards in such evil events. Educational Institutions should also desist from encouraging such anti-Islamic practices and behaviors of Cultural Aggression camouflaged as Cultural Activities. This is neither our culture, nor the practice approved by our Islam. It is disheartening to see that our adversaries, whose ultimate target is our emaan and Islam, easily get turncoats from within our own people who carry forward the agenda of Cultural Aggression unleashed by imperialistic Brahman India against Muslim Kashmir.
