I couldn’t make the announcement until it was official, but - TopicsExpress

I couldn’t make the announcement until it was official, but today is the day. As you may have heard, Warner Bros. announced that J.K. Rowling has teamed up with CEO Kevin Tsujuihara to write three new Films based on the Harry Potter world. These films will be centered around the character of Newt Scamender from her 2001 wizard textbook “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”. Check out the article on the New York Daily News. I am super-excited to announce that I will be working with Ms. Rowling on the book adaptations of the three movies. I have been in discussions with her office for six months now and got the call two weeks ago. From the official press release (linked below) J.K Rowling was quoted to say: “We had been approached by several authors about collaborating on this exciting project, including James Patterson from America, and our own Eoin Colfer, (British author of the Artemis Fowl series) but in the end it was the enthusiasm and creativity of D. Robert Pease that won me over. After all, I rose from obscurity after penning Harry, and I wanted to help another author do the same.” Suffice to say, I couldn’t be more excited. I’ve been honing my British accent (to the point of annoying the family completely) and rereading Harry Potter. I will be flying out for a month-long strategy and brainstorming session in London with Rowling and representatives from Warner Bros. on Friday. drobertpease/Current-Projects/Harry-Potter
