I count it my loss to say I hardly got to know Steve Diaz, but I have been coming to CMI for some years, and I have always enjoyed the opportunity to sit in the back of the chapel and enjoy the music, the CMI-TV, etc. I might never forget Steves gift of bringing evening devotions. The kids (who often typically are fidgety and into their own thang) would be quite silent and focused on his Godly words every night. As someone who works with kids both at the corps and in my workplace, I hope to someday be found to be even fractionally as gifted in this way. I will miss Steve, and I hope I can be found as busy for Him when He calls me home someday.
