I cud stl rememba vividly on the 1st day of dat year, when d new year merriment was stil on, only to be spoilt by a bombshell of the price hike in crude oil and its products as a result of REMOVAL of SUBSIDY. This govt promised that it wanted to generate revenue from other source apart frm the already known sources such as tax, restrictns placed on importation et al in order to fulfill some proposed projects; like stability in the power supply, reduction in unemploymt level, infrastructural facilities, aids to the tertiary institutns and some greatness weve never achieved or witness. The general public after staging of string of protests, eventually but unhappily & relunctantly concurred and accepted it waiting eagerly and patiently for the greatness the govt promised. Four years have gone now, though we were able to witness greatness indeed but in otherwise direction. 1. Naija was able to move up the pecking order from the 7th most corrupt nation to the very thirdthe most dangerous 2 SYRIA, the most dangerous nation on the planet, in which Naija is second to them according to CNN and Forbes. 3.
