I decided to fight for my life last week and that simply means I decided to stay away from my home the entire week, I only came back on Tuesday. Before I tell you where I went I want to share something important with you friends. WE OFTEN WANT TO GO INTO BATTLE WITH OUR HABITS AND THE THINGS WE NEED TO LET GO OF in OUR COMFORT ZONES; WE EXPECT GOD TO PREPARE US FOR OUR DESTINIES WHILE WE REMAIN in OUR COMFORT ZONES and that’s a recipe for failure. Even when we study the Bible, men and women God wanted to prepare for His work had to leave their families and homes in order for His perfect will to be accomplished. Go said to Abraham: “Leave your country, your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you,” “I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.” The revelation I’m receiving from this is that THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT A CHANGE IN EXTERNAL ENVIRONMENT THAT STIRS UP YOUR INTERNAL ENVIRONMENT, and consequently, YOUR CHARACTER BECOMES REFINED AND PREPARED FOR THE SEASON IN YOUR LIFE THAT CONTAINS YOUR DESTINY. Abraham could NEVER step into his TRUE IDENTITY and EXPERIENCE GOD’S PROMISE over his life before HE BEGAN TO WALK LIKE A MAN WHO TRUSTS GOD. Many of us trust Him with our TONGUES but when we have to walk the talk and actually OBEY HIS WAY AND WILL, we try to REASON why it makes sense to hold on to what we have and to what we know (it’s human nature). THE FULFILLMENT OF THE PROMISE AND THE ARRIVAL TO YOUR DESTINY REQUIRES YOU TO SURRENDER YOUR LIFE AND CHARACTER TO GOD TO REFINE IT, and more often than not, REFINEMENT IS AN UNCOMFORTABLE PROCESS because it works hand-in-hand with CHANGE! I went to spend a week at my spiritual parents’ home. God told me to go there and I was certain that it was His will because 1) I didn’t struggle to be at PEACE with the matter, I actually couldn’t wait to leave my home which was strange because I LOVE MY SPACE. 2) When I arrived there I was at PEACE to the point that I stayed longer than I had planned. In my understanding I went there for THREE REASONS: 1. To SERVE them: hence I didn’t mind cleaning their house everyday, babysitting their son and basically being ready to do WHATEVER they asked. I UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING A SERVANT TO PEOPLE WHO CARRY THE GRACE TO PREPARE ME FOR MY DESTINY. 2. My parents are workaholics! They wear different hats everyday; from BUILDING THE MINISTRY, BUILDING THEIR CAREERS TO BUILDING THEIR FAMILY (They are not even 35 yet). I needed that kind of ENERGY and PRESSURE AROUND ME. 3. I had a moment when I was washing the dishes after dinner and GOD TOLD ME “Your biological mother had to CARRY YOU and RAISE YOU up to this point in your life BUT SHE DIDN’T HAVE THE PERSONALITY, CALLING AND LIFE TO PREPARE YOU TO BECOME A LEADER. Your Spiritual mother has the personality (she’s strict, tough and very strong), calling and life to PREPARE YOU FOR LEADERSHIP AND EVEN MARRIAGE. I won’t reveal much beyond this point; you’ll read more revelations in my Book. I was one of those people who didn’t understand “di kereke tsa bazalwane or pholoso” but IT TOOK JUST ONE VISIT TO THEIR CHURCH TO KNOW THAT I WAS WHERE I BELONG (and the woman that invited me to their church was the one I often say RESEMBLES MY BIOLOGICAL MOTHER IN SO MANY WAYS ). My Spiritual father was preaching about Grace that Sunday and I understood him so well because the Gift He carries is packaged in a similar manner as the One I carry. So I want to encourage you friend TO FIGHT FOR YOUR LIFE! And that simply means GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE and CLING TO THE PEOPLE GOD SENDS INTO YOUR LIFE TO GUIDE YOUR GROWTH but more than that, PLEASE OBEY HIS WILL because it takes HIS VOICE to LEAD YOU TO YOUR DESTINY which holds the MANIFESTATIONS OF HIS PROMISES.
