I definitely dont think this is the way to tackle the astronomical costs of obesity. More needs to be spent on health promotion particularly nutrition education and behaviour change. This is just going to put a plaster over the problem and make people make even less likely to take responsibility for their own health. more needs to be done regarding the obesity epidemic, but is this the way?
