I deleted the post of the cat that was bit by a car. I understand people are upset, as I am, but I have zero control over the situation, unless there is proven misconduct on the owners part, or unless they surrender the animal, it is NOT my place to take someones cat. We dont know the whole story, maybe he was neglected by his previous owner, and a new owner took him in and he got out, maybe he was a stray or feral being fed by these people, I dont have the answers, I never met the cat, I did however, tell doctor, if for some reason they dont show up, or surrender him, to let me know and I will gladly take him. It is very easy for some to tell me to do this, and do that, but please remember, If I have possession of these animals, and I am responsible for them all, to care for them, clean up after them, feed them and find homes, and If I dont get help, its costly, especially with all the vet visits Ive had. Im upset too about the situation, but it doesnt give me the right to take someone elses cat. We dont know the whole scenario and its easy to assume. The police were involved with this, so I will let them and the owners work it out. If the police feel there is wrong doing, then they can get involved. I cant just go an take someone elses animal from a vets office. Thanks and have a good day.
