I did not know that UCSC has a bike library! from their website: Our mission is to promote bike ridership and support a growing bike community by providing bikes to students, faculty, and staff who would otherwise not have them. We have 30 Kona bikes available to be checked out for free to eligible applicants at the beginning of each quarter. In order to apply for a bicycle we have applicants write a 500-700 word essay answering the questions provided on the Apply for a Bike page, and submit it on a google form. After if an applicant is confirmed they must attend one of the two Bicycle Street Skills classes during the quarter it is offered.
