I did so good today, handled it so well, (and I owe thanks to those who helped keep the darkness at bay today, you will never know how much that means to me) until just after midnight, driving down a lonely stretch of road, tired from todays events, and Brent Smiths soulful voice began crooning a Lynard Skynard classic through my speakers, the song that will always belong to my baby brother, and I ended up pulling over in a deserted parking lot to have my inevitable breakdown. Life really isnt fair sometimes, it can be downright cruel, but suicide is never, ever the answer. The scars, the pain, the hurt, the unanswered questions of those left behind, and the missed chance to see better days are all that it produces.
