I didnt share yesterday because I had a million emotions running through my head. My daddy came to see me yesterday! Autumn, Matthew and I took mom to the VA office to finish up some things for she and dad. I pulled in the circle drive to let her out at the door like I did Daddy. She got out and we went to park the car. As I pulled off I seen him... Denim overalls, black shoes and a plaid flannel shirt with a cap on. This daddy was older. We parked and headed in. As I approached, I noticed there was a problem, he was upset and his daughter was going to get the car. The volunteer was sitting him down to wait outside. I stopped and watched out of the corner of my eye to see if I could help. The kids questioned me but also waited even though I urged them in. I turned around and had to go offer atleast. We got him set down and I found out his daughters car would not start. His daughter was old enough to be my mother. He told me the battery had a loose cable, I ask autumn to sit with him and I would go help with the car. He was very weak and feeble so I told autumn not to let him get up. Matthew and I got to the car, checked battery cables, they were tight. We found cables and took about 5 minutes to get cranked. When I looked up, here come daddy carrying his cane, 2 sandwiches, 2 cookies and 2 cups of coffee with autumn hot on his heels. (He wouldnt stay sit down cause he was worried about his daughter) I met them and took his arm and matthew got his coffee. We got to the car where he started talking to another veteran, he started to lean on me because he was getting tired (i loved it).. he then told me he was 81, be 82 November 22. He was in the Korean war, drafted at 19 years old. He told me he had 8 children and named them all. He was amazing!!! We got him safely in the car with his daughter. She told me that God sent ME TO HER! I told her that was very sweet of her, but it was the other way around.. God sent her sweet daddy to me because I needed to see daddy. She continued thanking us. Even my kiddos said he reminded them of pawpaw... Then at church last night Mike & Christy sang Beulah Land, I so enjoyed it!! Thank you Jesus for sending me these little visits, I love them more than I could ever explain!!!
