I didn’t come up with the name of this song, nor the character. A part time teenage model from our school, Lynette Arnold, made it up. In our creative writing class, she came up with this name for her main character of a short story we had to write, and I thought it would make a great name for a song. It’s about as simple as that. I used a recording demo I did back in 1986-1987 where I just recorded the lead vocal and guitar onto one track. When I found the demo, I decided to work with that particular recording. Even though the song ebbs and flows in an unusual way, it still had a nice feel and my vocal was, what I consider, pure as far as a rock sound was concerned.
