I discovered something short of a miracle today... Unflavored protein powder!!! I didnt do well again with my protein shake for breakfast... Try as I might to add a little extra to it and it just wasnt working out very well... However... I drank it because I had to... I searched for more recipes and discovered this amazing trick... Adding unflavored protein powder to broth!!! Now... Brian and I LOVE lots of flavor in our food... I found Mexican Tortilla Soup broth at walmart... It has a little kick to it and it doesnt have much nutritional value... which is why its a free food... I heated the broth... popped it in the blender with the powder and added xanthum gum to thicken it up a little and now have a DELICIOUS liquid protein dinner... I cant even taste the protein powder at all!!! Not only that... This powder has very little calories compared to the other stuff and that means I can add yogurt... pineapple juice... almond milk... ice and coconut extract to make a tropical smoothie for breakfast!!! The other powder had too many calories to be able to do that... I wouldve gotten through the next two weeks no matter what... Now I can do it and enjoy it!!! It truly feels like a small miracle to me... Im so thankful for the Internet where I can find so much good information... especially about weight loss surgery and this pre-op diet... Im grateful that people open up and share... even when its difficult... I have found so much inspiration through other people and their experiences that are making mine more of a success... I think its important to be grateful for my FB family as well... MOST of the time the posts make me either laugh or cry and I usually feel grateful for the love and support I find. Its not only in all of your words but in the things you post that are worthwhile and uphold a standard I very much appreciate... In a world where there is so much negativity... we are blessed to have a social forum that in my case is used for good... Im personally blessed being a member of the LDS church that gives me a compass for my life and Brian and Is life... We have so much... I want to say and I will continue to say... You are a wonderful part of my life and I have such love for all of you... My heart is full... Sorry for the left hand turn with no blinker kind of thought sharing!!!
