I do not know Dr. Oz personally, but he seems like a wonderful person and a talented surgeon. However I agree that the vast majority of recommendations on his show are not backed by evidence based medicine. Somewhere down the line Dr. Oz dismissed a due diligence screening process pairing actual clinical data with the products or supplements that he recommends. Doctors have incredible influence on their patients, and even more perceived credibility when a medical degree is combined with celebrity.
