I do not know where to start with this. The last three months that I have spent teaching a fourth grade class at OGES, have been three of my Best months ever since I began teaching 39 years ago !! I cannot say and brag enough on the children in Mrs. Grimess class. They were absolutely terrific and great. They were incredibly personable, and we had very few discipline problems that took away teaching and learning time during the school day. It is a class that is easy to really, really like and admire !! The parents were great, too. I appreciate all of their support. Thank you to all of the many children that said Hi Mr. Bradley when they saw me in the halls. Little things like the children saying Hi that helped to make my day each and every day at OGES and means a lot to me. The Entire Oak Grove Elementary faculty And staff were so very, very kind and helpful to this aging teaching !! I truly appreciate the office staff being so patient with me. Im sure that was difficult at times. A special Thank You to Mrs. Bee, Mrs. Lucas, Mrs. Morris, and Mrs. Sellers. All of you are awesome and were always there when I (constantly)needed help. The custodial staff helped me a whole lot in several ways. I thank them for their help. It is absolutely Amazing how great the OGES lunchroom staff is. Even under all of the (silly) regulations they are under in what, and how food must be prepared, they prepare delicious lunches each day. They can even make whole wheat ( a lot of whole wheat) taste good !! (And their lemonade is the Best I have ever had !!) I enjoyed talking to the bus drivers, especially the ones that were driving buses a decade ago when I was still actively teaching at OGES. Thank you Mr. McCarty for giving the chance to do this teaching assignment. And, thank you Mr. McCarty for all of your help. But, it was Mrs. Grimess class that I truly want to thank. Yall were terrific, great, fantastic, and marvelous !! Please believe me, yall will be missed by me !! I am not Facebook friends, I dont think, with anyone directly related to that class. So, if you are a member of the OGES faculty or staff, please stop by and tell that class how much I think of them. Hopefully, I will get calls to sub here and there for OGES teachers during the remainder of the 2014-15 school year. I do apologize to the few children, and to the several teachers that saw me tear up (a whole lot) immediately after the children left after school Friday. This classis the kind of class teachers get attached to, and even though I tried hard not to tear up, it happened anyway and I apologize. Thank you again to everyone that made the past three months such an enjoyable experience !! I truly appreciate it.
