I do not support the subpoena of sermons. However, my view on separation of Church and State is very clear. For many years I engaged in evangelism within the Christian Community. It was during this time that I experienced how the government would keep the separation very clear and distinct. I told a former evangelist colleague of mine years ago that Churches need to stop depending on the government to do their job and start doing the mandates given to them by Christ. In other words, get out of government and start evangelism work without demanding the government doing it for you. Churches are tasked with spreading the good news not intervening in politics and governmental issues. The scriptures say (paraphrased) Render unto Caesar that which is Caesars and unto God that which is Gods. So Churches get back to your original task and get out of government.
