I do what I do because I enjoy doing it. But its getting to the point where its not even fun anymore. Its hard to please everyone! I dont want credit for what I do, but damn, its not easy people! Putting on any kind of benefit is not easy, anyone that thinks it is, step right up, I will prove to you otherwise. For example, and believe me Im not bragging because I wish it was much simpler, it takes tons of different things to do and prepare a poker run is for real. You need a Place to start and finish, 5 stops in between, people to stamp cards, people to direct traffic, registration, banners, flyers, wristbands, donations, auctioneers, starting money, spread the word, food, get cooks, serve food, plates, napkins, forks, spoons, etc, tickets, entertainment, tents, tables, chairs, supporters, trailers, sound man, lights, cones, set up, tare down, clean up, photography, DVDs, place orders, t-shirts, so so so much more. And I thank each and everyone that helps me and the supporters that help me. And the committee that gets bigger and bigger every year. But dont you know, you still have them people that just try and break you, I live and die benefits and motorcycles 10 months out of the year. I wake up and think about what I can do next to make the next thing better. And what I mean by better is not for me, its for who Im having the benefit for and the people attending the benefit. But yet like I said. You still have some of them people that just dont get it. Hurts worse when its family sometimes! Yeah! But anyone who knows me well enough knows you cant break me that easy, tell me you dont like something, tell me you could do it better, but until you are running the show........Zip It!
