I dont always agree with Stephen A. but, I definitely feel him on this. Yes, there are stereotypes. Yes there are political and racial minefields awaiting people of color but, what are you going to do about it to, obtain YOUR ultimate goals? Additionally, I dont consider it an Uncle Tom moment to UNDERSTAND the sentiments of folks that arent of color. Hes completely right. Mark Cuban did make the comments about the black male but, he also made comments about a white male. We all have things that make us uncomfortable about certain people on a SURFACE level. We SEE things that make us uneasy. Hell, theres some black folks Ill avoid and, Im black. Now, thats not to say someone should lose their life senselessly(Trayvon) over said elements. So, lets be honest about how we see folks/race and, lets actually try to get a better understanding of how to be more cohesive, without always thinking, its an opportunity to bury each other, due to thought processes that we ALL have. Theres many I can think of that deserve the Uncle Tom label more than Stephen A.
