I dont care who I offend with this comment. I believe in the ideas that made Australia great; the flag is a scrap of fabric, not something to hold sacred; Ill support my country when its right, not when its politicians are promoting divisiveness and small mindedness. I dont want kids indoctrinated in petty chauvinism in school. I love Australia and I want it to be better than it is. Many of the early non-aboriginals who came to Australia were criminals, convicted terrorists, or unemployed layabouts from the slums of London. Australians believed in making a better society, we were one of the first countries in the world to have a secret ballot, votes for women, the dole (no question of dole bludgers), a minimum wage that gave a decent standard of living, free education for all, religious tolerance. Love it or leave it has no place in the Australia I love.
