I dont consider myself a religious person and I have learned to never discuss religion and politics in public. But I keep hearing about groups and political agendas doing away with religion. In my opinion it would be a mistake for us to dismiss religious beliefs because it is not something you can see, or touch or hear. Science has concluded that the universe is infinite and that our Human DNA shares the same DNA as stardust travelling in outerspace, and every living organism on earth. Science tells us we are all connected. I cant just dismiss religion as being a part of what ties us all together. I know something bigger than we can imagine is out there and if this brings people peace and joy and hope then I am happy they found a way to connect to and be a part of a much larger godly being, than what we can physically see from our tiny planet, smaller than a spec of sand on a beach. Instead of dismissing various religions and beliefs of a higher being, we should embrace the energy it can give us and use it to give everyone a better life. Im sorry but I respectfully disagree, and dont see how believing in a higher being is destructive.
