I dont consider myself handicapped but HANDICAPABLE!!! Technology is great, short of motocross racing one can do pretty much anything they did prior to becoming mobility impaired. I suffered a C6/7 SCI in a car accident but still am very active doing most of what Id done before life in the chair, luckily Im an Incomplete quadraplegic and in denial Im disabled...lol One of my passions before and still is snow skiing ;-) I have many others and have done things since my injury Id never done as an AB, like rock climbing! Get out and live life, it keeps one healthy and young! I play wheelchair softball with a 70 year old Vietnam veteran who still can play as well and sometimes better than some college kids on scholarship for wheelchair basketball :-) He is my example and proof how healthy staying active is for us all.
