I dont disagree that the Nkandla saga is problematic. I will never - TopicsExpress

I dont disagree that the Nkandla saga is problematic. I will never justify it. But I refuse to support any discourse that seeks to suggest that Nkandla is the biggest blemish on the face of our country when in fact WHITE monopoly capital is the real crisis. Even if the president pays back all that money, the realities of Black people will not change, not because hes a bad leader, but because the crisis in South Afrika is a structural crisis, not a personality one. Under Nelson Mandela, Blacks were on the receiving end of marginalisation from the economy. Under Thabo Mbeki, Blacks were on the receiving end of economic ostracisation. Under the interim leadership of Kgalema Motlanthe, Blacks were on the receiving end of economic oppression. Under the leadership of Jacob Zuma, Blacks are on the receiving end of economic subjugation. A celebrated world icon, a respected intellectual, a trusted thinker, an uneducated man. What do they all have in common? They led South Afrika and none of them achieved genuine freedom. Why? Because the crisis is not merely about who is leading, it is about the constructs that give rise to structural inequality and Black oppression, and these constructs are under-pinned by White monopoly capital. So, the only time I will march against Nkandla is when the same people organising these marches also start organising marches to the homes of White families who control the economy of South Afrika. When the Black middle-class that is very energetic about dealing with president Zuma become energetic about dealing with White captains of industry who are the real oppressors of Black humanity, I will wear my Chuck Taylor All Stars and march to Luthuli House with confidence. Until then, I shall not be requested by any NGO to lend my support to any anti-Nkandla campaign. Whites and the Black middle-class will play on your head if you let them. I refuse.
