I dont enjoy being defined by things, but Im here, writing this now, because for the next 10-12 months I am going to be and theres nothing I can do about it but face it head on. Im going to be defined physically and mentally by the fact that Ive been diagnosed with breast cancer and will be undergoing my treatment. Those who know me well, will know Im not hugely surprised that this has happened, and there are many positives about my diagnosis which I wont bore you with. However, that doesnt change the fact that the next year will be manky in many ways. Im posting this because I intend on being as positive, and social as I am physically able although I obviously wont be gigging until after my chemo etc has finished, and Id rather people knew why I look the way I will than glanced askew at me and wondered. So thats that. You dont need to comment, Im a lucky girl with great friends, I know I have both your sympathy and support. Op in the next couple of weeks, then recovery then chemo starts.
