I dont have an opinion of Sheryl Underwood one way or the other. Watched this video and was moved to share it because I know all too well the experience of folks talking trash about you when they dont know - you know. These people, including some of my own family (extended) have talked madness about me. I mean, NO facts to their chatter. NONE. And I havent approached them to gain any understanding or say Hey you, I know what you said. Had they any integrity they would have approached me for clarification. They didnt. Their mission was clear, so whats there to gain or understand? And then theres the person who wanted to make sure you know whats been said about you. Please. If people think so little of you, and themselves, what is there left to talk about? MOVE FORWARD. And some of the things these folks have said about me are downright entertaining! :smile: Im happy to know Ive been the source of so much enjoyment for them - through their gossiping. Im sure it bonded them closer together lol. When the people you would expect to be the happiest for your successes are running you down behind your back, it hurts. But its made me stronger. Ive ALWAYS had my own little world to retreat to. When youre 510 and attractive enough to gain any amount of effortless attention when you walk into a room at a young age you learn early that why doesnt so and so like me isnt the question. The question is - why do I care. I wish I had understood that earlier in life. It took some bruises to my soul for me to learn that lesson. You all know what Im talking about. Unfortunately, theres a huge jealousy factor when folks do not go after their dreams and they see you doing the damn thing - or any thing for that matter. Combine that with low self-esteems, add your success and bam - youre a bulls eye. GIVE THANKS FOR IT. You could walk on water Thursday and all some folks would be talking about by Friday afternoon is, You know on Wednesday she didnt blah blah blah... Learn to use the energy from your haters as fuel, whatever the source. Theres an energetic switch you can flip and when you learn to do that nothing and no one that comes against you will prosper in their cruelty and nonsense. And every now and then they come to some level of self discovery. While it may sound crazy to some, I do my best to have empathy for those who talk trash. I do. Anyone who does this to another is on some level suffering from pain/insecurity. So, seriously - dont take it personally. Whatever Sheryls motivation for sharing this - doesnt matter. Its a tremendous example of what keeping your heart clear and ears and eyes open can do when you make the choice to NOT take it personally an are in a constant state of GROWTH. Take it higher. Keep your mouth shut, save your energy and stay focused on your vision. She took notes and in places she seen a valid point she made change, the other chatter - let it go. The message as a whole whether for ratings and plucking heart strings or not - THERES TRUTH HERE. Speaking for myself, Im also right where I am supposed to be and am thankful for the path its taken to arrive here.
