I dont have any children. (never had that desire). I have no idea what it is like to give birth….or raise a child (hard enough to get myself through this life). I have total admiration for those who are walking that path. This morning, one of my friends gave birth to a little girl. When I found out, my eyes spontaneously started dripping liquid and my heart felt like it was gonna come out of my chest. Im sure its a combination of the New Life I see, through Jamie Wick, Stephanie Owlfeather, Melissa Smith, Joan Greeley Christine Cafasso, Valerie Mae Wright,...as new and amazing mamas and mamas to be and the family event I went to last weekend with Alison Carr and her brooding teenagers, seeing my lovely nieces Claire Gumbrecht and Emily Gumbrecht become beautiful spirited women taking flight…and the fact that yesterday was the anniversary of my own mothers transition, with my fathers day not far off, along with my own EarthDay under the sun of Cancer…which have me reflecting on this wild, magical and mysterious tour and feeling the fullness of it all.
