I dont have anything against eating clean. My objection is to the arbitrary and rigid labeling of foods as clean and not clean in the first place. I spend a small fortune stocking up on local/organic/grass fed foods. They are what comprise the majority of what I eat. I like nutrients. I dont need to assign a moral code to my food - I can just seek out some nutrients. But that little bit of ice cream and chocolate... they have their role too. Its a different kind of role. But I reject the notion that when I am consuming them, I am putting dirt inside my body. What kind of visual is that anyway? Is that really helpful for health, which should include healthy psychology, to equate a small amount of super pleasurable foods with doing something icky and wrong? F that noise.
