I dont know about all of you, but I am beyond pissed off that none of the schools lowered their flags in honor of Cpl Cirillo, the solider that was shot and killed yesterday. Schools all over Canada, the entire nation, lowered their flags, Im just so disappointed. I dont usually post on here but this pissed me off so bad. Especially when I went to talk to my principal about it, he had no idea what I was talking about. Who cares that theres no school tomorrow and that we only had half a day today, if the flag is up 24/7, then it should be lowered, no questions asked. Even after I asked them to lower it, they didnt do anything. Sure Im just one 16 year old girl out of an entire school and school board, I actually give a damn about this kind of stuff, this is pretty personal and trust me when I say this, Im NOT the only one upset about this, Im just the only one saying anything about it. The fact that the government shut down all military and cadet training because of the shooting, even the RCMP are not suppose to wear their uniforms to work, and the school board cant even lower the flags is just beyond ridiculous! Sincerely, one extremely disappointed and pissed off Army Cadet!
