I dont know how many of you from Oldham Cats will remember my little beauty. When she was with you her name was Coral, but she decided not to respond to that anymore so I changed her name to Saphy. Shes always been a gentle girl, and I fell in love with her instantly - literally, I saw her picture and loved her, it was very strange. Not usually like me. When I met her at Oldham Cats, she was so loving and gentle. It took her less than a day to get settled, although right from the start she would not come and sit on our laps. She would come for fusses but only on her terms and she always has to feel like she can get away if she wants to. She took to coming for fusses after I had fed her, like she was saying Thank you. We recently brought a kitten from a family member, which has been a wonderful experience for both myself and Saphy. She did not like her one bit at first, but as they got used to each others scents they have become the best of friends - even if they fall out occasionally and scare me... They snuggle together in the same bed. They play like mother and kitten; it is absolutely adorable. Over the last few weeks I have noticed a change in Saphys behaviour; she has been watching Tilly and seems to have learned that coming for snuggles is okay! She will now do many of the things that Tilly does naturally which she never used to do! Including biting random things, but I live with that if it means I can snuggle her, lol! Anyway, I just wanted to share this with Oldham Cats and say, Thank for the wonderful job you do! Because without them I would have never had my furbaby and I can honestly not see my life without her.
