I dont know if it’s because Im getting older and Ive finally discovered I do have the sympathy gene or if it’s the Detox diet Im on, but I felt kind of sad seeing the Courtney Love video with the isolated audio track yesterday. She was never a great singer so I really didnt think her singing was as bad as some of the other isolated singing tracks Ive heard. Her guitar playing was atrocious but once again she was never a great guitar player anyways so that didnt surprise me very much as well. I just felt kind of sad to see what’s become of her over the past decade. Of course most of its self-inflicted damage but that doesnt make it less sad. I never was a big fan of Courtney Love the person but the band “Hole” put out two of what I would call great albums in the 1990’s. I still think that she and the band had a lot of help or input with the writing of those albums, but nonetheless those albums were really, really good. Hopefully she’s got one more surprise in her and she can pull off one more very good album sometime in the near future. With all the talk lately about is rock dead, it sure would be nice to have a real rock star like Courtney Love make a comeback. youtube/watch?v=v0CYB5V9e64
