I dont know if obligation is quite the right word. When Im obligated to do something, I generally rebel anyway, normally when its not something I whole-heatedly believe in or something that doesnt feel important. However, this is different. Its a constant calling to interfere; its something I cannot ever escape, nor would I ever want to. I just want to do good— whatever that means. Often, I find myself in the middle of two parties, trying to help both see a little clearer. I believe they see my good intent, but its just never enough. Neither really listen, and both are perceived selfish but with justification. Im so eager to open their eyes, and someone needs to try, right? God, help me.
