I dont know whats going on with my electric bill but it keeps climbing higher and higher and higher, and Im not even using that much electricity!! Last month my electric bill was $158 so I went ahead and paid them $160. Only to get my bill today and had to come up with $40 more! Its just a good thing I had it on that state supplemental check I get so WTF? Something is really sucking up the power and I cannot for the life of me fathom what it is! I am on level payments which helps, but still...something isnt right here. Im using more electricity NOW than I did in the summer when I had 3 air conditioners (one of which was 220) going full blast 24/7! I should not be using that much electricity. Not running heaters anymore because its now warm enough that I dont need them. Not using my electric stove because it doesnt have a cord. Not using my dryer because that hasnt worked for months. I always wash laundry in cold water. So there is NO sense in this. I think what this is, is that they are gouging their rates!! Same with my water. I dont know why my water bill keeps climbing but not using any more or less water than I ever have. This time after bills, I BARELY managed to have enough money left for a few necessaries. I had $15 left! FIFTEEN DOLLARS to last me the rest of the month!!!! Normally I have about $75 to use for these things. It is a good thing I had the foresight to stock up on household necessities last month, because between my electric bill and my water bill, that took everything. I also pay on my mothers funeral every month and never put a dent in it. I will probably be paying that the rest of my life. If this continues, I dont know what I am going to do. I guess maybe try to find a place that rents cheaper....because $500 comes off the top of that and I am not able to get HUD approval on this house.
