I dont know whether to laugh or cry at the ignorance I see on FB right now. The theory that Obamas tax proposal is a socialist/redistribution of wealth plan is nothing more than right wing propaganda intended to further manipulate the minds of people who take what they here on Fox News, etc. at face value. Want to get a better understanding of why we have a federal deficit?? In 1952 the corporate income tax accountant for about 33% of all federal tax revenue. Today, despite record-breaking profits, corporate taxes bring in less than 9%. And to top it off we afford these corporations all of the protections of being an American company, yet we allow them to offshore jobs for cheap labor, which contributes to unemployment, and pay workers less than a living wage which equals less money going into the US economy and more money going directly into their pockets. If you disagree with what Im saying you can comment your thoughts but do so respectfully and substantiate it with facts or youll be deleted and blocked. Why? Because thats how educated, intellectual debates work. Theres already enough misinformation out there to go around twice. #SOTU #TaxReform #Obama
