I dont my immigrants who come to the United States of America because they want to be part of our great country. But there are too many who are coming just for a piece of the pie and are not coming to be Americans. All immigrants except for the Spanish speaking learn the English language because they want to be part of the American experience. If you are illegal here and you speak English as well as the average born and raised, then I want to get you legal status. But, if you cant be bothered to learn our language than obviously you dont care to become an American. I know many illegals are coming here because their home country is a mess, but if you are not going to become a full member of our society then stay home and make it better! This country wasnt a garden spot until it was made so with hard work. If your elderly grandmother doesnt learn English, Im not going to sweat it. But if your are ages 3-65, you can learn it and should because you will always be a second class citizen if you dont. AND there are tons of opportunities to learn English.
